High Concrete Group Featured in Central Penn Business Journal

High Concrete Group was recently featured on the front page of the Central Penn Business Journal’s Spring 2023 Construction and Real Estate publication.

Following up on the publication’s coverage of High Concrete’s 2019 capital investment to expand and enhance the company’s architectural precast concrete plant, the Central Penn Business Journal highlighted the limitless, and often unknown, design possibilities of architectural precast concrete.

Sean Dixon, vice president of construction, was quoted saying “Architects and project owners ask us how we can make their project look elaborate,” he said. “They don’t want a garage to look like a garage. It’s been fun.”

The article highlights several High Concrete Group projects including 1200 Intrepid, the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Children’s Hospital parking garage, and the Alumni Parking Garage at Lehigh University.

It concludes with the possibilities and future of precast concrete. “We are getting a lot more requests to incorporate other structures into our panels,” Dixon said. “We can even put windows in them right here and transport the whole system to the job site.”
